Mercy, a small but mighty member of the class of 2020, comes from a family of 8. She is grateful that she has come a long distance from a place called Makueni and joined Uhuru Academy with one of her neighbors and closest friends, Abigael Musyoka. Before she came to Uhuru Academy, she was attending a day school in her hometown. It was very challenging because although she wanted to focus on her studies, she spent most of her time walking to and from school. Because of the long journey, she was often too tired to focus in class and too exhausted to study when she arrived back at home. She is grateful that Uhuru Academy is a boarding school because it provides her with more time to focus on her schoolwork. During free time, you will always find Mercy studying with her friend Abigael or reading novels.
