Jane is a part of the 2017 graduating class at Uhuru Academy. She comes from a family of four other girls (Mercy, Miriam, Esther, and Sarah) and one brother (James). They live with their parents in Maai Mahiu. Because she excels in Math and Business, she wants to be an accountant. Jane is intelligent. She creates her own time for extra classwork or for leisure activities such as reading novels and talking with friends. Her favorite aspect of Uhuru Academy is the small class size that enables the teachers are able to manage the students. Jane is the Vice President of the Student Council this year, where she has grown tremendously as a leader. Because of the challenges she has experienced, she can use education to change her future and improve her family’s lives.
