Ruth is a part of the 2018 graduating class at Uhuru Academy. She lives in an IDP camp in Maai Mahui with her mother and three of her five siblings. Her camp is called Vumilia Camp, which means ‘Perseverance.’ Ruth is a bright and vibrant student who enjoys watching horror and cartoon movies. She enjoys attending Uhuru Academy because the students are disciplined and the teachers are friendly. She says that bullying happens at other schools, but at Uhuru Academy, you don’t have to be afraid or insecure. You can approach anyone and ask a question. Ruth believes in the power of education, because it allows a person to achieve their goals, and also help others attain their dreams.
